Q1 2024 Performance of Top iOS Word Puzzle Games in France

As the first quarter of 2024 comes to a close, Sensor Tower has gathered data on the performance of the top word puzzle games on the iOS platform in France. Here's a look at how five popular titles have fared.

Words of Wonders: Crossword started the quarter with download numbers at around 13K, peaking at 17K in the second week, before gradually descending to just under 10K by the end of March. Revenue showed a similar trend, with a high of nearly $2K in late January, but it tapered off to around $1.2K by the quarter's end. Weekly active users showed a decrease from 33K to approximately 25K over the same period.

What Would You Choose? Rather saw a significant spike in downloads mid-January at over 41K, but numbers settled down to around 5K by late March. Revenue fluctuated, maintaining a level around a couple of hundred dollars weekly. Active users peaked at 50K and declined to just above 11K by quarter's end.

4 Images 1 Mot exhibited steady revenue throughout the quarter, hovering around $800 to $1K, with a noticeable dip to $593 and ending slightly lower at $581 in the final week. Downloads remained consistent, averaging around 7K each week, while weekly active users started at 67K and showed a slight decline to 59K.

Fugo's second contender, Words of Wonders: Search, had a modest revenue performance with figures around $100 weekly. Downloads saw a significant drop from 8.6K to just under 3K, and active users mirrored this trend, decreasing from 41K to 26K.

Lastly, Scrabble® GO - New Word Game from Scopely, Inc. showed robust revenue growth from $3.8K to $6.4K. Downloads remained fairly stable around 5.5K to 6K, with active users starting at around 52K and ending the quarter with a slight increase to 50K.
